Casa Fernández began operations in May 1989, at the gates and the Barcelona Olympic Santaló street with the name of Real Compañía Cervecera Casa Fernández. Javier de las Muelas honors his mother, with this restaurant, being Fernández his name; and all of Barcelona known as Casa Fernández. They were years where the caps were confined to the maritime part of the city, full of tradition tapas in the upper area, and thanks to Casa Fernandez, acquire a cosmopolitan and eclectic to merge with the cuisine of other cultures character. Twenty years later Casa Fernández is renewed but remains true to its philosophy, offering a new concept of tapas prepared with top quality products in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. The letter is now enriched with new dishes like roast suckling pig, oxtail stew and shrimp omelette, and a renewed decor take center stage in which paintings by important artists along with the colorful local.
